After weeks of user backlash, Anycubic has officially confirmed a hardware revision and firmware patch for the Kobra 3 Max, resolving the widespread issue with failed bed leveling probes following the 2.4.6.5 firmware update.

Many users reported that the bed leveling sensor would become permanently unresponsive, especially after the update was applied to early-batch machines. The issue stemmed from a quiet hardware revision: Anycubic changed the sensor model without versioning the board, causing firmware mismatches.

In a new blog post and email to affected users, Anycubic admitted to the silent revision and announced:

  • 🔧 Updated firmware (2.4.7.1) auto-detects probe version
  • 🧪 Sensor test tool for identifying faulty units
  • 🚀 All future Kobra 3 Max units will ship with new firmware preloaded
  • 🎁 Users who bricked their machines may request a free replacement sensor (where warranty applies)

This marks one of the first times Anycubic has responded to community pressure with public acknowledgment and a concrete fix.
