Leaks posted to Reddit and Twitter over the weekend have revealed what appears to be the upcoming Prusa Mini 2, a major revision to one of Prusa’s most popular budget printers. If accurate, the Mini 2 will include long-requested features and a complete hardware refresh.
According to high-res images and internal firmware strings shared by testers, the new Mini 2 includes:
- All-metal hotend capable of 300°C
- Native Wi-Fi & LAN with real-time remote monitoring
- Updated touchscreen interface with Prusa Connect baked in
- New compact board design with faster processor
- Improved extruder tensioning and a removable fan shroud
- Silent stepper drivers with active motor cooling
Most importantly, it appears the new Mini 2 will not replace the MK4, but will sit below it—making it the most advanced “entry-level” printer Prusa has ever released.
Prusa has not issued an official statement, but the presence of CE and FCC marking labels on leaked images suggests the hardware is in final production.
