Elegoo has just confirmed that early orders for the Neptune 4 Pro V2 have begun shipping, following a quiet product revision announced just weeks ago. The V2 version builds directly on the successful Neptune 4 Pro platform but adds two major hardware upgrades that respond to long-standing community feedback:
All-Metal Direct Drive Extruder – replaces the previous Bowden setup for improved retraction and flexible filament support
Dual-Fan Printhead – now includes opposing part cooling fans for symmetrical airflow and sharper overhang performance
The V2 also features minor tweaks including:
Improved cable routing
Updated touchscreen firmware
Slight Z-brace reinforcement
Elegoo isn’t branding this as a full new model (like a “Neptune 5”) but rather a refined reissue, much like the Ender 3 V2 model releases from Creality. Still, early testers on YouTube have reported noticeably better TPU results and faster cooling times on bridges and towers.
Most notably, this version is being offered at the same $299 price point, at least for early units. It remains to be seen if Elegoo will eventually phase out the V1 entirely.
