Bambu Lab has officially launched its next-gen filament storage system, dubbed the Bambu AMS Hub Pro and Smart Dry Box Combo, pushing boundaries in moisture management and automatic material handling.
Designed for professional print farms and power users, the new system introduces:
- 💨 Active drying system with thermal + desiccant combo
- 📡 NFC-powered spool recognition for seamless slicing config
- 🔄 Real-time sync with Bambu Studio to monitor humidity, weight, and filament type
- 📦 Stacks cleanly with the AMS-L for high-throughput workflows
- 🔌 USB-C & CAN Bus interfaces for modular expansion
This update finally addresses some of the long-standing requests from Bambu’s most demanding users — including moisture-triggered pause alerts, logging filament history, and tighter integration with the slicer and printer firmware.
While the hardware is priced at a premium, early testers report significant gains in print quality with hygroscopic materials like nylon, TPU, and PC blends.
Bambu is expected to roll out support for third-party slicing platforms later this year. The AMS Hub Pro and Smart Dry Box combo is available now in limited quantities via Bambu’s direct store.
