At Formnext 2025, Bambu Lab and Prusa Research unveiled a wave of cutting-edge 3D printing hardware, but one standout was the Bambu Lab H2C — a dual-nozzle desktop printer featuring a Vortek nozzle changer that dramatically reduces filament waste and improves multi-material prints.

The H2C introduces up to seven induction-heated nozzles capable of automatic switching mid-print. This eliminates the long-standing issue of extra filament buildup — often called “printer poop” — that occurs when printing with multiple colors or materials.

Priced from about $2,399 with shipments expected later this year, the H2C combines speed, versatility, and functionality in a package aimed at both creative professionals and advanced hobbyists. The improved workflow and reduced waste make it one of the most talked-about launches in the 3D printing community.

Other highlights from Formnext include tool-changer accessories for Prusa’s CORE One and upcoming multi-color innovations from Snapmaker and FlashForge — but the H2C’s no-waste approach is already driving conversations about what’s next for desktop additive tech.
