Adidas has expanded its 3D-printed shoe lineup with a new version of its Climacool 3D-printed sneaker, now featuring traditional laces for an adjustable fit.
The original Climacool model — notable for its breathable lattice structure created entirely through additive manufacturing — was initially released as a slip-on. In this updated version, Adidas adds a black tongue and lace system, giving the futuristic, lightweight design more mainstream appeal and improved fit adjustability.
Despite the laces being made from conventional materials, the core of the sneaker still relies on a 3D-printed lattice structure, a technique that keeps the shoe breathable, fast-drying, and innovative in performance and design.
The Climacool Laced shoes are available through Adidas’ Confirmed app and select retailers, bringing advanced 3D-printing manufacturing into everyday footwear with a balance of style and function.
This latest release shows how 3D printing isn’t just a prototype technology — it’s now integrated into real, wearable consumer products from one of the biggest brands in the world.
